With earth burial, do I have to purchase a vault?
Vault requirements vary from cemetery to cemetery, some have mandatory requirements while others do not require any type of vault. Burial vaults are always something that should be considered whether required or not. Settling of, and the weight of the earth can cause the casket to collapse. Moisture and other elements can also enter the casket.

What can I do with the cremated remains?

How long will it take for the CPP death benefit to be processed?
Standard time frame will vary between 6 and 10 weeks. Processing may take longer if the deceased worked in other countries.

What amount of money does the CPP Death Benefit provide?
To estimate this amount take the last CPP benefit cheque that the deceased received and multiply it by 6. This will be an approximate amount (to a maximum of $2500.00) that will be received.
